Leading our team of Android developers, this exciting role is responsible for overseeing and being responsible for building new applications as well as maintaining and expanding existing projects. The role requires working closely with project managers, designers and other development teams to ensure we deliver applications that meet the needs of our clients and their users. You will manage the Android development team and foster a positive, collaborative culture that will keep our apps at the forefront of technology and quality.
Knowledge & Experience Required
- In depth knowledge of the Android operating system
- Proven Android development knowledge and experience with Java and Kotlin
- Strong knowledge of Android Jetpack’s Architecture components
- Proven ability to build robust and scalable user interfaces using ConstraintLayout
- Building to an MVVM architecture
- Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principle
- Experience of working with remote data APIs via REST and JSON
- Experience working with third-party libraries and APIs
- Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git
- Knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies
- Experience of managing a team, or a desire to take that career step
